Island Women's Massage Therapy is owned and operated by owner Hallie Scher Larsson.

Hallie is a licensed Massage Therapist certified in Swedish Massage, Touch for Diverse Populations, a Reiki practitioner and Reiki Master.She trained and studied with the MCkinnon Institute for Massage in Oakland California, The Acupressure Institute in Berkeley California, Kate Jorden ( Body work for Child Bearing Years ) in California, Reiki in Portland Oregon with Margaret Henshaw and with Hawaiian Lomilomi teachers Kilwell Kamaka Kai Alibi Paakaula Kamoa Kepilino "Papa K" and Mary Kawahine' Aheo Kamau Fragas " Auntie Mary " here on The Big Island of Hawaii.

Hallie's work is focused in Women's Health. She moved to the Big Island to follow a dream. She left her practice in Walnut Creek California at " The Women's Health Center" John Muir/Mt. Diablo Hospital where she worked with pregnancy massage, and women with disabilities, she went into the hospital to work with women with high risk pregnancy on bed rest.

She is also a Western Herbalist and Certified Diet consultant. Her studies were with The California School of Herbal Studies in Forestville California and The Ohlone School for Herbal studies in Berkley California and The Institute for Educational Therapies in Berkeley.

She was a volunteer for 8 years at The Charlotte Maxwell Clinic for Women who have cancer as a Herbalist in Oakland California.
